1979 Lebanon Catholic graduate, Lori (Brucker) Block who has been a professional academic advisor in the College of Education at Rowan University, received the Joseph A. Barnes Award for Distinguished Service from the university in 2010. It recognizes faculty or professional staff for their "extraordinary and long-standing contributions" to the university. Lori also serves as a senator in the University Senate and vice-president II of the American Federation of Teachers. Lori got her bachelors degree in political science from the University of Scranton and her masters degree in public administration/human resources from Kutztown University.
Donald R Stoudt II
Donald retired from the military after over 27 years of service. He ended his career on March 10, 2006 as a Master Sergeant.

Sherril (Hanna) Allen, class of 1978, has settled in Grand Bay, Alabama. She wants to know if anyone has heard from Steven Steele, also of the class of 1978.
Robert Ackerman
The Navy seems to have been good to Robert Ackerman of the class of 1978, after having spent twenty years among its ranks. He contacted us from Fairbanks, Alaska, where he has settled. Robert has been married for 19 years, has one son, has worked on the SMDC Ft. Greely for about two years and he's had the opportunity to visit many countries, including a four year stint in Italy. After his retirement from the Navy, he took on the job of Chief of Police. Robert is interested in knowing if anyone is making plans for their 30th reunion.

Angela M. Marchi (Weidner) is the new CEO of the Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, South Carolina. Springs Memorial is a 200 bed hospital operated by Community Health Systems, based in Tenn. Marchi started as a registered nurse, earned her bachelor's and master's in health care administration and a certificate as health care executive.
Karen Stief
Karen has not only been inducted into the Lebanon County Educational Honor Society but she was also named the Non-Public educator of the Year by the Intermediate Unit 13. She was chosen for her extensive commitment and dedication to students in Lebanon County. In addition to her role as guidance counselor at her current schools - Lebanon Catholic and New Covenant Christian – Karen reaches out to the entire Lebanon County community through projects, and services.

James P. Guare, class of 1972, is a medical chemist whose careful research led to a major breakthrough in the treatment of HIV. He played a major role in the discovery of Crixivan and Isentress, two highly effective drugs that have helped millions with HIV live longer, healthier lives. Jim worked as a medicinal chemist at Merck & Co. Inc. after earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in chemistry at Temple.
He coauthored more than 38 scientific publications and holds 12 patents. His work has earned him many honors and awards, including the National Inventor of the Year Award, the American Chemical Society Award for Creative Invention, and the European Inventor of the Year Award. Both he and his wife, Debbie, have three children and live in Quakertown, Pa.

Therese M. Kolessar
Therese M. (Kolessar) Poe is a resource coordinator in the Division of Oncology at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. An alumna of 1972, Therese lives in Wayne, Pennsylvania , has two daughters, 25 and 26 years old, and enjoys her four-year old grandson.
