Student grades are determined by the following:
The above grades will be added together and divided
by the total number of possible points to find the quarter grade.
Recovery
Grades:
My
goal as a mathematics teacher is for you to learn mathematics. The purpose of a quiz is to assess your
mastery of a given concept, prior to a unit or chapter test. If you have not mastered a concept at the
time of a quiz, I want you to research your mistakes and try again. The Recovery
Grades program is designed to give you the opportunity to retake
quizzes. Only quizzes can be retaken and
the only type of grades to be recovered are 77% or
lower. The highest grade one can receive
is a 78%, so as not to compromise the grades of the students who did well the
first time around.
How
does the program work?
Any student who receives a 77% or below on a quiz
will have the opportunity to retake the quiz again. You will be required to study the material
again and may receive outside help if necessary. The recovery quiz will always be different
than the original quiz.
Notes
about the program:
1.
Students can never hurt their grade by taking the
recovery quiz.

following scale will be used for the recovery quizzes:
