Parents – if your child is planning to attend college, we are suggesting that you attend the Financial Aid Workshop that will be held at Lebanon Valley College on Saturday, February 13th, from 8:30 to 12:00 (snow date is February 20 th). Professionals from Lebanon Valley will go through the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) line by line. This workshop is NOT just for the parents of students who will be attending LVC. Space is limited; therefore it is necessary to register in advance. You may do so by calling 867-6126 or by going to https://lvc.edu/financial-aid/fafsaworkshop.aspx
This same workshop will be held at HACC’s Lebanon Campus, on February 9 th at 6:00 pm (270-4222) and HACC’s Harrisburg Campus on January 30 th at 10:00 (780-2330).
Every college has their own deadline for the submission of the FAFSA. Filing the FAFSA by the earliest deadlines at the schools that students are considering will ensure that they are maximizing their ability for financial aid. The deadline for submitting the FAFSA for State Grant Consideration is May 1 st. Attached to this Newsletter is a “FAFSA on the Web” Worksheet.
