My goal is to create a non- threatening Christian environment where all students can grow spiritually, socially, and academically. Students will learn responsibility and independence in order to grow into self- sufficient productive members of the community.
Students are expected to use their manners and show respect at all times.
A set of rewards and consequences will be used as needed to promote this behavior.
Students will be graded on tests, quizzes, reports, (oral) presentations, homework, class work, and participation.
**Could change at teacher’s discretion.
Special projects include but are not limited to Saint reports, Animal reports, Just Right Book reports, Native American activities, map projects, Writing Center, Write and Illustrate Your Own Book, and more.
If there are any problems throughout the year please be sure to talk to me first. Remember your child wants you to see them in the best possible light and will present their side of the story accordingly. If we work together we can promote a peaceful classroom!

Homework is assigned Monday through Thursday and should take about a half an hour to complete. Homework is written in an assignment book daily. This book needs to be signed every night by a parent. This tells me that you have seen the homework and agree that it is complete and the best effort from your student. Homework is important because it reinforces the skills learned in class. Take homework seriously and so will your third grader! Three or more homework misses in a marking period will result in missing a special activity, loss of recess, and lowered report card grades. |
