Crime & Criminology Semester Course

Crime & Criminology is a semester course which involves the study of clashing views on controversial issues in criminology & criminal justice.

Required Materials for Course

Textbook (covered) - you are responsible for the cost to replace a lost or damaged book. Notebook

Tests, Quizzes, Homework

Tests will be announced several days in advance. The day before a test will be used for review. All tests will be of equal value.

Quizzes can be announced or pop. All will be of equal value.

Homework must be neat, complete & turned in at the start of class time on the due date. I reserve the right to accept or not accept late or incomplete work (grade will be reduced). If a minor homework is not turned in at all, it results in a 2 point deduction from the report card grade for each assignment not done. If a major assignment (worth a test grade) is not turned in at all it will result in a "0", which will be averaged into the other quarter grades.

It is the student's responsibility to see me for missed work or to make up a test due to absences. The due dates that are set must be adhered to.

Reading of the text will be considered a regular homework assignment. Thorough reading of the assigned issues is integral to the understanding of the material in this course, success in the classroom and the ability to participate in class discussions. Therefore class participation will be worth 20% of each Quarter average!

Extra credit, extra help: If you need it, pi ease ask!
