Pre - Kindergarten

“What I learn depends on where I learn”

Lebanon Catholic’s pre-kindergarten program is an integrated Developmentally appropriate program that incorporates experiences in religion, language, literature, math readiness, social studies, science, art, music, movement, large and small muscle activities and social skills.

Education assists in developing the whole child so that he or she may become fully alive: physically, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually and socially.

Therefore, early childhood learning experiences should seek to unify all aspects of the children’s lives while they are still in the formative stage.

PROGRAM CURRICULUM

Weekly themed units expose students to a wide range of experiences and ideas.

RELIGION –

Discover God’s life-giving love for us.“Seeds” weekly series will be used.

MATHEMATICS –

Recognizing differences in sizes and shapes, sorting, matching, counting,
and number recognition. Mathematic centers are introduced and geared
for each individual student.

LANGUAGE ARTS –

Books are read aloud and discussed, and finger plays and songs are taught.

Discussions guided through questions help develop
processing skills and vocabulary.

Show and Tell develops expressive language.

Relationships between letters and the sounds that they make are taught
through the “Letter of the Week”.

 

Daily Activities
 
      • Develop vocabulary and language skills
      • Encourage recognition of differences in sounds, size, shape and color
      • Increase interest in books, numbers and people
      • Introduce new ideas

 

Schedule
      • Classes run September through May.
  • Children attend five days a week.
      • Parents may choose mornings or afternoons.
Mornings: 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
 
Admission Policy

Children must be at least four years old by September 1st.

Children are accepted on a first-come, first served basis.

The school may require the parents to withdraw a child if placement in the class is not in the child’s and/or school’s best interest.

 

Registration Procedure

The following is needed when registering:

        • Immunization
        • Birth Certificate
        • Baptismal Record
        • Social Security Number

Tuition for the 2005– 2006 school year is $1700.00

Monthly payments begin in June of the year you are registering and are due
the first of each month, or immediately after the registration of each child.
