ACADEMIC PROGRAM (6-12)
Students in grades 6-12 are offered a challenging
curriculum of studies, including advanced placement
classes for qualified students.  Lebanon Catholic offers a
variety of classes in advanced mathematics  and sciences,
two foreign languages, German and Spanish,  which can
start for some students as early as 8th grade.  A classical language, Latin, is offered in sophomore year, prior to
SAT testing. There also is a diverse selection of required
and elective courses in the humanities.

ACADEMIC PROGRAM (K-5)


Students in grades K-5 are presented with age appropriate challenges that allow them to explore and expand their academic capabilities in the core education programs of math, language arts, science, social studies, and religion. Students are also offered special classes in art, music, computer instruction, library, physical education and Spanish.

 

Weekly themed units expose students to a wide range of experiences and ideas.

RELIGION - Discover God’s life-giving love for us. “Seeds” weekly series is used.

MATHEMATICS – Recognize differences in sizes and shapes, sorting, matching, counting, and number recognition. are introduced and geared for each individual student. The Pre K follows the Houghlin Mifflin Math series that is used in all elementary grades.

LANGUAGE ARTS – Books are read

aloud and discussed, and finger plays and songs are taught.

Discussions guided through questions help develop processing skills and vocabulary.

Show and Tell develops expressive language.

Relationships between letters and the sounds that they make are taught through the “Letter of the Week”.

 

KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM

Students are welcome to register for a full day or half day of Kindergarten.

The aim of Kindergarten is to provide a basic foundation for a child’s education. It is a program geared to make the transition from home to school as smooth as possible, and to make each child’s first experience with school a successful and happy one. The Kindergarten program is designed to help stimulate a good self-concept, providing each child with many experiences of achievement.
The program will provide opportunities for social
and emotional development, inspire language development and expand physical and mental growth.



FAITH FORMATION

Lebanon Catholic teaches students the doctrines of the Catholic faith, and integrates the teachings of Christ into its daily routine. Instruction in faith and participation in liturgical celebrations are among the highest priorities at Lebanon Catholic School. Every student attends a monthly liturgy with the student body. The opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation is given during


the Advent and Lenten seasons and on an individual basis upon request.


Children in the second grade are prepared for First Reconciliation and First Communion. Eighth graders receive the sacrament of Confirmation in conjunction with their parishes. Service activities to promote love and duty to one's neighbor have been added to the annual schedule.

 

 

SPORTS

Lebanon Catholic School offers the students opportunities for physical development through a healthy list of after-school sports programs that include, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls basketball, golf, volleyball, baseball, softball, cheerleading and bowling.
