The annual Rosemary Sonni Walsh Golf Tournament provides scholarship funds to Lebanon Catholic School for qualifying students each academic year.

Before she died a death that was not expected in 1991, Rosemary often lamented that Catholic education was becoming cost prohibitive for some families. Because of her spirit - and the generosity of all those who have supported an annual golf tournament in Rosemary's name - Lebanon Catholic School has been able to distribute close to 5200,000 in scholarship assistance so many more families can afford a Catholic education here on Assumption Hill.

As in the past, scholarships will be awarded in the form of "Rose Grants." These grants will not be subject to the same criteria as other aid that is allocated by Lebanon Catholic's School Board. Students may receive a "Rose Grant" in addition to other forms of aid.

Catholic and non-Catholic students may apply. Students must maintain good standing in school, and be willing to put forth effort in their academic, extra-curricular or spiritual involvement. "Rose Grants" can be as high as $750 for students in grades 6-12 and $250 for students in grades K-5.

Interested families need to fill out the application in this booklet. I will forward the names of eligible students in confidence to the Rosemary Sonni Walsh Golf Tournament Committee. Information on a family's specific financial situation will not be given to the golf committee.

It is the hope of the Rosemary Sonni Walsh Golf Tournament Committee that each recipient of a "Rose Grant" will someday return the favor to a family or child in need.
