Lebanon Catholic School houses three computer labs: an elementary, a high school and a writing lab. We were very excited when a generous donation of 90 brand new computer stations were purchased for our school. We are thankful and grateful to the anonymous donor who gave us the tools we needed to better serve our student body.
The Elementary Lab conducts classes for the students in Kindergarten through grade 6. The lab is equipped with 22 computer stations, a smartboard, projector and a laser printer.
The students attend computer class once a week. The lab is located in the Hilbert Lab, in the school library. The Elementary curriculum consists of basic computer skills, Word Processing, Internet research, spreadsheets, keyboarding, slideshows and Publishing. Students also use interactive response systems to complete surveys, activities and tests.
The students are taught lessons according to their grade level and the Diocesan technology curriculum.
Kindergarten through second grade students focus on mouse control, opening and closing programs and using the Internet. Microsoft Office is introduced and the students learn how to type, draw, make slideshows and other basic computer skills.
The writing lab is located in room 206 on the second floor of the school. The middle school and high school students have the opportunity to use the computers for research and writing.
