NUMBERS CAN BE FUN! READY, SET, GO!

Cut apart your numbers (orange paper sent home with progress reports).

  • Mix up numbers, sequence in order from smallest to largest, largest to smallest, start with one, start with six (or any number) continue sequence. Count forward, backward.
  • What number is missing? Put all numbers out in a straight line and have child cover eyes and remove a number. They tell you what number is missing. Switch roles they pick a number you tell.
  • Sort numbers by ones, tens, and twenty.
  • Skip count by twos, (remove every other number) fives, and tens.
  • Odd and Even numbers if a number has a partner it is even if it doesn’t it is odd.
